Jervis Bay, Australia
Jervis bay is an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful place it is the main holiday destination for Australians, and there is good reason for it. Beautifully clean white sandy beaches and bright blue ocean make it really hard to resist.
There are lots of options for accommodation in Jervis bay however there are no hostels there so. There are plenty of hotels and apartments available but the cheapest option would be to camp.
Once again we slept in our car in Jervis Bay, it was a great way to save money as accommodation there can be pretty pricey. If you download the wiki camps app on your phone it’s a great way to find free rest stops along your way or just give it a good google/ask at tourist information centres. Alternatively you could use airbnb, it’s great way to meet the locals and save money on accommodation. If you want to try out Airbnb then you can click here to get $40 off your first stay!
What to do in Jervis Bay
Visit the world famous beach Hyams beach! We arrived in Jervis bay on a very rainy day, the sky was black but when we drove to Hyams beach we were surprised to see a beautifully vivid blue ocean in front of us, it’s gorgeous even on a rainy day! If Hyams doesn’t tickle your fancy then we found a cute little beach in … it has lovely warm clear waters perfect for snorkeling.
If you do want to snorkel there are some great spots to go and explore the underwater world including … while you’re there you can go and look inside the rock pools as they are buzzing with life!
Go for a drive to Kiama, It’s pretty close by and has an amazing blow hole which shoots water high into the sky! Make sure you check the tide times before you go and head over at high tide to be sure to see it in its full glory.
There are all sorts of watersports on offer in Jervis bay as it is another cute little beach town, i’m sure there are heaps of other random activities to do here but the main reason people go is to relaxxxxxxx. So take your suncream and top up that tan!
